Ok to set the stage here I would like to first say I really enjoy looking at your work, you have a great visual quality and clarity to you shots and alot of attetion to color. That aside If I did not know you are who took this shot I would not have assoicated it with you. The shot is technacally very good the DOF is great lighting is good and your usual detail and color attetion. That aside I don't really like the extreme tilt (remember this is just my opinion and I am far from an expert) Also and more importanly to me there is not a huge attetion or draw factor to me that seems like "Wow that is romance" while you have the candy and the heart box to me that does not show romance and feels more like a advertisement for candy (which isnt a bad thing in my opinion) Over all I would have scored this shot a 7 range because it was a well executed shot but just didn't have that extra draw to me that says this is the embodiement of romance.....Now I need to get some chocolate ;)

Ok from left to right
1) Is a skater or likes alot of skating stuff, Likes retro and punk music. Is not much of a dancer. Likes comic books.
2)Most likely likes Punk and Rock music, is very good at picking up the ladies, has an I dont give a crap additude alot of the time. Very outgoing and kind of cocky at times.
3)Likes heavier music an very emo stuff. soft spoken but not shy just dosent talk very loud. likes to lift weights/workout but not much into sports
4) Almost always happy and very animated personality. Most atheletic of the group.

Love the subject, reminds me of my dad who has a john deer riding mower, has many fun stories about driving it a 1/4 mile to gas it up. Great use of color and I didnt know they made tirechains for john deers :)

Since you commented I will elaborate more on why I am saying what I am about this. areas of the subject to my eye have no detail other than an outline Hence "Becoming a silhoutte". Also the lighting appears to be coming from your subjects hands and he is turned slightly away from the camera, this seems to be more like side lighting than back lighting. There is light cast on the background but really does not draw your attetion to or help the background.
While I do not think this image meets the challenge I do think it is a wonderful work of art with alot of emotion and detail the texture, tones and focus are very good. I think if the rules for the challenge were diffrent that this shot would score much better as it is very nice. Even adding as a fave as the shot is that quality even without the challenge credentials.

you cut your chain links with snips use a dremel for cleaner edges and better closure of the rings
