Have more fun!by CoryComment: This image is way too sharp! It appears to have been edited on a 55" monitor and, therefore, displays poorly on my mini 22" widescreen monitor. The lack of interesting characters in the background is also disappointing. Surely you could have captured someone in the crowd also taking pictures, even better if they were shooting with a Nikon ;)
This is one of the values of get togethers. I wouldn't have thought to enter this scene into a challenge or that it would have done so well. I mentioned to you all that morning that I probably wouldn't be taking too many shots because urban areas are places in which I just don't see the possibilities. I'm much more in my element lost in the countryside, wilderness, or desolate beaches.
It's eye opening for me to see a shot from our GTG do so well. I'm sure that I'll remember this whenever I'm in urban areas with a camera.
Great job and congratulations! |

A Study of Intimacyby melodicgraceComment: I love the colors in your image and I'm surprised that it didn't place higher in the challenge. This is a huge step up from your portraits from only a few months ago and it shows great improvement in your photography. I'm glad to see quite a few comments and a favorite on this entry. |

Pink Bouquetby banmornComment: Great placement in a free study. What I really appreciate in this image is the great dof you captured. |

Sleeping Giant by PenelopeKComment: Congratulations Penny, on another yellow ribbon. Good job on the post processing within the basic editing rules to emphasize the detail. That was a great catch. |

Above The Red Fallsby RianBotesComment: Location, location, location??? I was looking forward to the end of the challenge to find out where this is. Can you please fill in that blank? Oh, yeah, it is a very nice shot of a cool place. I don't know if it was possible, but a lower point of view with more to see above the crop would have been nice. |

Mallory Street Bayby melodicgraceComment: Nice for your first try or any try for that matter. I like how you used it sparingly and kept the image real. |
