Raining on my Grillby mleeComment: I really can't see metal in this picture - the water beads are the main subject that the eye sees. Nice capture, though. |

Metal Boatby hossamComment: Nice colours and composition, but the regular noise in the sky is very distracting. |

Relicby L1Comment: whilst I can understand your choice of a tight DoF, I think the focal length was slightly too short - the rightmost spoke goes out of focus almost straightaway. This isn't quite in keeping with having the hub and spokes as the main subject, with the rim as an incidental extra. Otherwise, this has good composition and lighting. |

Recycle Meby CLarson557Comment: Whilst this is a good capture, except for the slightly overexposed ringpull, and meets the challenge, I'm afraid it just doesn't have that something extra to pull it above average. |

'broken dreams'by suemackComment: Good capture, except for the overexposed sky. I can't find a place to rest my eye in this photo - keep looking at the light, then across to the right, then back up to the hood, then down tot he light again; which makes it jarring. |

Rustby Sam JowettComment: This looks very flat. Increasing the contrast would have helped. The subject (the anchor) isn't all that clear in this shot, and by setting it against the shingle reduces it's impact. Taking this shot slightly closer to the anchor so that it's set against the water and the mountain would help give it more impact, but you also have to watch where the eye is lead in that case: the anchor should remain the subject. |

The Cemeteryby maralomarComment: The framing is excessive, and the subject material is uninteresting. Perhaps a shot from slightly lower down to get that orange assembly mid frame, rather than cut by the chain link at the top of the frame would have helped. |
