Moraine-Lk-aka-CDN-20-dolla.jpgby TessComment: Beautiful location and composition. The sky is obviously overexposed, but shots like this are really tough with the digital cameras. The lower portion of the picture is great as you can actually see all the details. With a shorter shutter speed to keep the sky and mountain tops from getting washed out would have cause you to lose much of the good detail in the lower portion of the shot. I think a lot of skilled photographers with these type of shots take two exposure and then combined the elements of both photos into one shot. I'm not that much of an expert, but there are plenty of people on the site that can help you with those techniques. Keep up the good work and have fun. |

Winter Flood, Wellfleet — Uncle Tim's Bridgeby Bear_MusicComment: Looks like you really captured the mood of the weather with this picture. I'm surprised you also didn't do better with this entry. Almost 70 votes under 5, when you should have gotten at least 7's or higher. People tend to vote higher on the bright and flashy pictures here, so maybe people didn't like the color and mood, but I think they are both really cool. |

Jim Thome - Broken Batby ClubJuggleComment: Nice capture with this shot. Its amazing how good seats and a good lens can help you take great sports shots like you see in the magazines. If you get a chance, take a look at some shots that I got at the Giants vs Braves game out here in SF about a month ago. I have a portfolio of those shots posted.

Bridgeby Keith ManiacComment: Love the lines and the angles of this shot. The lines in the pavement, and the railing lead you nicely to the rest of the bridge. Good B&W as well. Nice :) |

Lightningby behindthescenesComment: Pretty cool shot...would be slightly better if the clouds were a little lighter, but nice work none the less. |

Historic Homes Trioby jpochardComment: This is a cool little compilation of some shots. They definitely highlight the style of that town. Good composition on all of the shots. I love to take pictures of some of the Victorians here in SF. |

God's Promiseby AtroposComment: I agree with your remark about the shot could have been more clear, but I do like this. The colors are really nice. |
