I really like this one. I eyed a few manholes for this challenge as well. The gold color is nice. I would have liked to see the whole lid in sharp focus. 6

I like "ball full of circles" idea. The bright side of the ball is a little bright, but I know how difficult that can be to rectify in the open challenges -- I've struggled with it myself.

Hmm.. a nice picture, but it's barely a circle -- to me. I think it could have been very interesting if you could have caught the sun more in line with the face of the wall there -- casting some nice shadows too.

The title made me search for the meaning, the old piers guided me to it. I like this one.

I tried to do something similar -- but I found that I couldn't get high enough to really see the runway. I 4-wheeled right up to the airport perimeter fence and set an 8-foot ladder on the top of my chevy blazer and snapped away until airport security came out to ask what the heck I was doing. Then I didn't even wind up using the shots.

I think that, as with my shots, a higher vantage point would work better to show the runway's "leading lines" -- but I like the color in your shot.

I like this. I think it would have been spectacular if you could have somehow managed it during a game with an ump, catcher, batter and pitcher in there. As it is, I'm left wishing the lines were drawing me into -- something.

I like the idea of this shot. The color of the water is a nice contrast to the brown/grey of the pillars. The water droplets in the air I think are distracting and they get in the way of where I'm trying to look.

Great shot! Very clear, and you can really see the bird is actively hunting. I didn't give it a 10, because I really want to see his eye, but the light angle just doesn't quiet allow it. 9. Your shot was my top pick.

A fun shot! I think I would have enjoyed it more if the whole bird were in the picture. 5

This is a waxwing, right? Very pretty birds. It's too bad the lighting wasn't more on the bird to give finer detail and to separate his eye and beak a little better. 5
