The title is a misnomer. Nowadays pencil "lead" is actually graphite, a form of carbon.

I almost loved this photo, but the way she's holding the bow is incorrect and it looks so unnatural to me that it's all I notice after a while. The photo itself is fantastic, the balance of dark, light, and smoke is perfect.

Very cool, and congrats on the red. This shot reminds me of an MC Escher drawing, which is hard to accomplish in photograph form - well done!

This is the best of the "Black Dog" photos, it's not too cheesy and it has a dark feel to it. This dog reminds me of "The Grim" in Harry Potter... :)

The Autumn moon lights my way... I wish the top of the moon were in the picture; otherwise, this is a nice shot of the moon.
