This is a great picture of a very cute child and as portraits go, I don't think it can be faulted. The use of B&W is greatâ€Â¦ I don’t have any problem with the picture but perhaps the challenge link is a little weaker – in my perception at any rate – than it could have beenâ€Â¦ I know that’s a matter for debate, and I hope the shot does well despite my opinionâ€Â¦ (7)

This is a great shot. Composition is first class – and mouth wateringâ€Â¦ Lighting works, and the candle is a nice touchâ€Â¦ The only flaw – and it's tiny – relates to the reflected glare in the plate. Bounced flash might have gotten rid of that. Good luck (8)

My only suggestion here would have been to get closer in on that wonderful cakeâ€Â¦ Use of DOF is great, lighting is very good – too much would have killed the candle flames – and the idea is good. I think the overall picture smacks of fun. (8) I would have scored it ten if I had gotten more of that cake :) Good luckâ€Â¦
