In a shot like this, moving the camera higher to avoid the unpleasant brush would be more ideal.

an image like this should "pop".. the yellow and white stripes should provide a large contrast between the black asphalt. In this photo everything seems very subdued. Also, I think the image would be better conveyed if the curves weren't cropped out of the road.. More detail in the rider would also help.

Over-sharpened to the point where the water is un-natural looking. Many of "rainbows" of false color in the in the sky as well.

Great concept.
Unfortunately, a house is really not the best place to capture leaping animals. It leads (generally) to uninteresting backgrounds (a generic door here) and because there is usually poor light indoors, harsh shadows from direct flash.
