Citrus Submarine

Citrus Submarine

Comment:
In the town where I was born lived a man who squeezed to sea, and he told us of his life, in the land of yellow things. So we sailed out to the sun, til we found a sea of fishtank. And we lived inside the camera frame, in a citrus submarine

:D

I used one of these too. I don't know exactly what I'm looking at here, but besides that, it's a good shot. Plus, you got the whole band in the frame, which I failed to do :o)

I used one of these too. I would've like to see maybe more of the Live Strong in the photo (though, admittedly, I'm not practicing what I preach :) ) Maybe would be better with more of the letters in the field of focus, and the end of the needle more visible. Still, a very good shot, good luck! :o)

Hmm. that's an interesting concept to the challenge. the only thing that bothers me is the huge (or maybe just far inward) border. Also, the reflection of the lights and the shadows cast by them I'm not too fond of. Perhaps if you'd move the light so it cast longer shadows (that still remained in the frame) and the reflection was on the other side of the balls, it would've been better. But you earn extra points for being creative. And simple.

Wonderful architecture shot. Unfortunately (I found this out the hard way) religious shots and DPC tend not to mix very well. Nevertheless, I still like it. Symmetrical and stunning. Great capture.

Beautiful model, however without the title it loses the humor and just becomes a model shot. In which case, the average voter is going to vote down, because it's a model shot. But that aside, it's an excellent picture technically, There's no indecision in what subject I should look at ;o). I wouldn't have gone with the title though, I'm sure you'll get knocked around for it. It probably would've scored higher otherwise.

An interesting composition. I just think that the palm tree, and the tree behind it, are too dark. Also, the figures don't seem to possess much much definition, there's not much contrast between the figures and the tres. It's almost like two seperate objects, and my eyes seem to switch between the two, unsure of which to look at. Still, the composition is a good idea, definitely photo worthy.

I would've just used the word stubborn, because as I've discovered, voters aren't the most knowledgable people ;). This is a good pose, and I think the background works well, but I think the subject should be looking up at the camera. If he were to look up at the camera, and make a stubborn face, It would assuredly exude recalcitrance :D.
