Untitledby JudiComment: The lone tree on a flat plain is a solid concept, but the scale of that particular tree is small enough that the various small bushes in the foreground take away from the overall effect. I really like the gray sky and the position of the horizon relative to the overall frame, but the foreground detracts from the composition in my opinion. |

Along the Stone Fenceby giantmikeComment: There is so much to love about this picture. The composition is great. You've managed to get 2/3 sky, 1/3 treetops, and 1/3 grass making for 4/3 along the horizontal axis! That makes for an additional 1/3 of a picture as a bonus! :) I really like the sun burning through and the shadows for those two wonderful trees. I hope to see this score very well in the overall rankings. |

Hilltop Farmby PaulComment: The desaturated colors, the sharpness of the foreground crops (corn?), and that dead tree against a foreboding sky really give this a haunted look. This would be a great movie poster for a horror movie. One of my favorites. |

Serenity by hahn23Comment: This is amazing! It is my favorite. It doesn't seem to be a standard reflection photo, but the reflection off the water really is doing a lot to pull everything together. I like the steely colors that seem so appropriate to the snowy scene. Great job! |

Sanctuaryby vawendyComment: Wow! Great shot. You live in a beautiful place! This makes me think of Africa with the tall trees and big birds swooping. The tall trees in the foreground (middle) along with those big birds also give this a bit of a Jurassic Park feel. That one bird is almost big enough to be a young pterodactyl. :) I like the way the yellow grass becomes a haze in the trees and eventually almost a dust in the sky. This is a top pick for me. Good luck in the ranking. |

Stillnessby ThingFishComment: I really like the way the water reflects the sky in this one, and the blues are great. The composition separates sky, land, and water into roughy equal parts, and each is offered in just the right amount. This is one of my favorites. It makes we want to visit! |

Blue Heavenby prakashanandComment: The reflection on the dark water really makes this picture pop. The cold look of the snowy mountains in the background and the icy but water in the middle are nicely contrasted with the warm yellow light reflected from the moon. The moon might be a bit hazy, but it is worth it to get that reflection. Great pic! |

Before the Stormby Kevin_FlynnComment: This is one of my top picks. I love the big sky and the yellow hues in the fields. Overall a great composition and wonderful colors. |

Poorly Landscapedby jaysonmcComment: I like the old fence in the foreground and the grass is interesting. The lack of color suits the scene. In my opinion, the show would have been better if taken from closer to ground level since I have the feeling that we're standing on a balcony looking down on the yard. Also, a lower shot would help to deal with the street along the back edge, which does not seem to enhance the picture of the yard. |

Dubai is growing..Tallest building the worldby el3radiiComment: Interesting scene. The light coming under the bridge creates some unexpected colors in the water. That tall building is so tall it is hard to make it work with the rest of the composition. It would be interesting to see the shot taken with a focus more on that building along with some of the water/bridge in the foreground, but cropping out the building on the left (for example). The building is leaning in the frame, and I'd like to see that brought to vertical for the photo. |
