An absolutely lovely photo. Amazing how you've brought out the softness and haze with the blue lighting while maintaining the sharpness and contrast of the petals, as well as the bright yellow glow. This deserves a win.

Very nicely constructed photo, excellent interpretation of the challenge. Optimisation of the final image is a little dirty.

Very nice colour contrast, good to see black as black instead of grey. Bright colours are delightful against the dark background. Extra point because it makes you wonder how it was achieved. Score 9.

This is a happy photo. Made me as happy as looking at penguins waddle along. :D Exciting colour, big emotional response. Score 7.

A nice photo, and a creative interpretation of the challenge. Colour and focus is good. The border perplexes me... Although borders are valid parts of the competition, they are intended to enhance the photo without changing it. This border, although it very definitely improves the *design* of the photo, arguably *changes* the photo. I'm not sure whether this matches the spirit of the competition. I was unsure whether to add points for the clever design of the border or take points off because it alters the photo itself. Final score 6, I decided to take a point off because others don't use such borders and therefore it could be considered an unfair advantage.

Very nice lighting and focus with very interesting background colour, but an odd choice of subject. That's a truly ugly doll! ;)

Sharpness/focus might have been improved just a little, but this is being pedantic because the sheen makes focus very difficult in the first place and a good result has been achieved anyway. Lovely colour, great contrast. The green glow on the valves really 'finished off' the image. Nice use of an interesting background. Complementary colours. Score 9.

A well chosen subject, nice colour balance. Good work capturing green at night. I like it too (personally) so an extra point for that.

Needed a little more light to bring out the subjects of this photo.
