Oh. My. As a make up artist- I'm instantly drawn to this image. I realize this challenge was basic editing but I'm DYING to fix her brows, the smudge on the left eye, straighten the pencil...but enough about my OCD. I love the lines of this image- the way she dominates the left hand side while the kohl liner takes my eye to the other edge of the image. I like the way the 'blacks' in this image all complement each. Brows framing the eyes, outlined by the lashes all underlined by the pencil. It works for me. Well done.

+ It's interesting. It's creative. It has a haunting feel for me & a unique angle and crop choice that works for me.
- I know it's a fine line with HK- but it just feels blown out to me.

But to the important things- you helped me realize how badly I needed to clean my monitor. :D

I have challenges with this image- It feels like such a random section of the ring that is in focus. I've never shot jewelry- so take this comment for what that's worth- but with diamonds I want to see *sparkle* or *illumination* or some kind of 'this is a precious stone' idea when I see the image of fine jewelry. This image just falls flat for me.

I like the basic stuff here: The lines of glass in contrast with the roundness of the beads; the choice to leave the beads out of focus; having your subject right justified etc. Nice, clean, high key shot.
