Empty For Next Diktatorby mrbig65Comment: It's dark. Simple. Clean. There is something about the notion that it's 'just a plastic lawn chair' as opposed to something elaborate or particularly extraordinary that I find appealing. I wonder if a little more contrast in coloring would bring more dimensions to the clouds? |

After 5pmby BrianRComment: It's after 5...so you don't need to light the candles yet? It's after 5... so we're breaking out the red glasses? The black counter tops with black background with black bowl and black rocks feels flat. I do like the way the light goes through the liquid red is reflected onto the clear twisted stem. I would love to see you explore those lighting possibilities. |

The Peace Process by tapcityComment: From this perspective- I feel like I'm hovering over a random pile of crafting tools. Even with the title, I'm still searching for the idea your trying to convey. Feels like an 'accidental snap' from a roll of film, if you'll pardon the out dated cliche |

If You Wouldn't Add It Yourself...by mrjssimsComment: I very much appreciate this concept. However... The lighting here is far too brash giving spot light to part of the image and harsh shadows abound. (Perhaps a reflector would help?) I realize still life, by design, is staged. But this is SOOOO staged it feels uncomfortable- as opposed to feeling like a glimpse of 'life', I feel as though I can here the photographer saying 'Move the knife 2 cm to the left....' The staging dominates my attention over the idea. |

Africa Awaitsby HighNoonerComment: Awaits what? Does Africa need some naan? Is this about drug trafficking? Perhaps it is my pallet that is unrefined. I do like the vintage look map. Stylistically- not into the red hairline border. I really like the over all tone/ colouring of this piece. And it obviously peeks my curiosity- what is the story here? |

Honey Lipsby CrazyDiamondComment: This makes me think of neither bees, nor honey. Rather a melancholy lady who's not to thrilled to take that drink. As a viewer- I echo her sentiment... |

The Honey Factory by vawendyComment: I like the lines in this image and the details of the bee- but I wonder if it meets the challenge? |

Golden nectarby markwileyComment: I can appreciate this concept- but it feels forced. IS the kid enjoying this moment? As a viewer- I want to emotionally connect with the 'joy' one would experience in this position, but instead I note how he's biting his tongue and eyeing the bottle- no wish to indulge in the golden nectar. Also, where is the bee connection? |

transition stateby skewsmeComment: I totally dig this more abstract interpretation. It almost feels like a water color |
