Good Ol' Rustyby Zap228Comment: Hmm, the color is rusty, but the nail has a very smooth texture that's emphasized by the catchlights, and that doesn't give a very rusty feel at all. Odd but visually interesting photo. |

Oilby TrueGeekComment: This photo almost looks like it's taken through thick smoke. I personally don't feel it complements this subject. You might want to look at //www.lonestardigital.com/photoshop_quicktips.htm for a way to clear this up using your favorite image editor. |

Wheel of timeby silverleafComment: I think there's a bit too much dynamic range in this picture - between the bright highlights at the top of the wheel and the very dark shadows it's hard to get a feel for the rust color. An overcast day, or something to diffuse the light, or maybe some fill flash for the shadows could help here. |

Rustic Lizardby PDavisComment: This photo strikes me as funny - kinda looks like a vomiting lizard. Might be a good candidate for selective coloring if this were an advanced editing rules challenge to up the contrast between the sculpture and the rock. |

Decaying Farmby Polar7Comment: The aging/derelict mood has been nicely captured - certainly meets the spirit of the challenge even if it is of "rusty" wood. Might be improved slightly if the very left corner of the roof wasn't cut off and if the color balance was a bit warmer. |
