David and Michelleby pramComment: this one is interesting.. i actually like it.. there is a weird color cast again but this time it adds to the oveall mood of the picture and it works towards a better outcome.. only if you framed this image so that th e2 people were mor to the left thus creating "the rule of thirds".. that would have added extra interest.. |

Los Angeles Wedding Reception Dancing Motherby pramComment: Dont get me wrong but i wanna be cruelly honest with you.. because i often wanted other people to tell me what i am doing wrong so that i can improve perhaps.. so here i go:
1-white balance is all off in this scene, notice the red color cast in the entire frame. that is created by the indoor lighting and becasue of different color temperatures cameras sometimes have hard time interepreting the lighting data.. so it is best to tke pictures in a controlled lighting environment as much as possible.. or if youhave the option you can try your camera's custom white balance settings
2- i dont see anything interesting in this frame.. it has a snapshot kinda feel and doesnt matter how we want to believe that every photo we photographers take is the best, trh truth is sometimes you have to look at thigns from different perspectives and try to create and emotional impact.. a dramatic effect if you will..
3- there is not enough detail in this picture either.. and that is probably due to use of flash and not enough lighting again...
hope you take this criticism the good way.. i dont want to be rude in anyway.. just trying to help... Message edited by author 2004-05-08 06:03:08. |

Rusty Hands of Timeby KylieComment: rust could have been more emphasized.. not that it had to be in the center of the photo or anything but it is hard to see the rust.. but i like the point of view very much.. 7 |

Squaresby GabrielComment: indefinetaly interesting .. but i failed to see the rust theme in this.. perhaps you were trying to tgo with the color scheme of a rusted object but it dont quite match i think.. i think it is a 7 image.. but because of not fitting the challenge i think i am gonna give it 5.. dont be mad :) |

boreal scourgeby camelotnorthComment: i see what you are trying to do here.. going on with color similarity.. i think it is a nice try.. i am sure you are getting hammered either way.. but i like the different approach.. but the image itself dont appeal to me much.. 6 |
