This is a striking image. It's beautiful. For your knowledge, though, the image is more haunting to me than hopeful, and I think it has to do with the black & white soft quality of everything, as well as the black background, disembodied hand, and plucked flower head... This is really a strange, surreal photo. It's ghost-like.

Far away this didn't look that impressive, but up close this is excellent. I love the details shown in the texture and features of the face. The blurring to the back is also a neat effect. Visually the photo is excellent. Overall, however, it doesn't inspire hope so much as visual appreciation for the photo... I think I want something more emotionally inspirational.

This is a great photo visually, but it doesn't convey hope to me very much, probably because of the aloneness of the child. The child is great, but he almost seems restricted into the (black & white) concrete or structured background. If you hadn't titled it what you did, this photo honestly wouldn't inspire much "hope" in me, and instead melancholy.

I really like this abstract composition - it's much more clean than many of the other abstracts here, but you also have lots of details in the color transitions.
