"Fallen"by RmacComment: This is superb - the saturated colours & tones, dynamic off centre shapes & simple reflective darkwater background make this one a winner. GREAT shot & reflectively beautiful. |

Ready to Fallby NasaComment: This is so crisply done that every pore and line and pattern of leaf is visible and focused. The overlap adds another layer of slight shadows, tempering & changing the colour. The diagonals are dynamically indicative of movement. This is a delightful photograph, one of my favourites. |

Survivorby androgeusComment: One of the last vestiges, holding on...stark,graphic,simple & I like the way the fragile twig holding it leads my eye in from the right to the slightly off centre leaf. |

Davis Bridgeby CEJComment: Brilliant colours, blending shades & tones contrast nicely with the bridge providing just a hint of stability in all the change around it. This speaks well of Autumn. It is quite beautiful in the shapes & lines. |

Firewater by scalvertComment: The contrasts of the extreme red complementing the darker black & white of the nicely flowing creek are absolutely gorgeous in this photograph. I like how the stones on the right side of the creek echo the waterflow & enhance it. |

On the turnby alpharichComment: The uptop perspective on this is unusual & quite engaging, the contrasts well blended, the exposure even & balanced. The centre tree provides a nice focal point as well. |

Rainforest Foliage - Southern Hemisphereby RamblinRComment: The thin waterfall in the distance seems to be echoed by the roots of the foreground subject tree. That is the only source of any real colour - te rest of the tones are light & dark, shadows & greys. Very harmonious & yet the diverse & myriad shapes provide difference & tension. |

Simplicityby karmatComment: The wispy flow of the stream or waterfall at the top reinforces the twig on the right which then leads the eye to the leaves on the rock. These are brown and not brilliantly coloured anymore but they do represent that stage of Autumn where things go back to the Earth. All the elements are simple yet contained in this photograph, leading to a circle which flows harmoniously together. The viewing is a pleasure. |

Autumn's Endby stargazer05766Comment: The patterns and crinkles in the pale ice contrast nicely with the red of the leaf. Winter now has Autumn in her grasp & will not give in lightly. This is simple, graphic and beautiful. |
