Wavespotting.by docpjvComment: The colour tones in this superb image are gorgeous - they blend together so well even as they are turbulent and churning. It appears such a simple image yet is done with elegance, finesse and impeccable timing. I love looking at it and how it seamlessly flows together. Bravo! |

Buttery Layers of Goodnessby DennisheckmanComment: I love the tones in this and how the individual leaves retain their identity yet foster a larger sense of themselves as a whole. The various small droplets of a soon to be progressing Autumn are also a nice touch, as is the one single one which is upside down. Beautiful blending of colours. |

The Beginning of The Endby nickybComment: This is a very poignant and eloquent image which speaks volumes without words. I like how the light rays from outside paint & illuminate the trees, but the photographer has given up and is moving on with his tripod. "Nothing to see here, go home" - and the ever omnipresent dark bird, in silhouette, flies into frame, subtly chasing him. I do love this - even the sepia reminds me of yesterday more than today. SOPA passing would be a future to be feared. Well done! |

Tired shouldersby NiallOTuamaComment: You have a gift of keen observation and the ability to create a superb portrait which honors your subject. The simple basic human condition displayed in this is rendered beautifully. The lines & folds in the coat, repeating in the hands and again in the lined face & subtly greyed curving hair make a compelling study. If only,"and miles to go before I sleep." |
