The portrait is pleasing, but the wide, white border with the thin brown border around it is very distracting. Also, the merger of the model's sleeve with the frame on our left should really have been avoided.

The wings are wonderful. I just wish we could see the eye a bit better. To my eye, the focus on the head seems just a tad less sharp than that on the wings.

Very nicely balanced image with lovely colours. However, I think the image would be even stronger if you cloned out the 1/2 in 1/2 out little bale in the lower right corner and then cropped up just enough to eliminate the dark line of earth at the bottom of the image. That bottom bit distracts us from the lovely rest of the image.
