I'm going through the entries, stopping at those images I feel have had the benefit of an unconventional eye and dwelling a little longer to try to see and appreciate what you saw. This is one of those images.

Positives: Completely bizarre composition - I love that you've stuffed something so random into a FS. Ummm.... what else?

Critical stuff: I could just say 'why' but you would say 'why not?' and rightly so. I am normally a fan of grain but here - this gritty, noisy look is a little ugly.

Overall: I get the feeling you know exactly what you are doing here.

for me the tones in this are flat, if before you convert your picture to B&W you push the hue & saturation pretty good you will get a much richer tonal value IMO
