The shot is very good, but maybe a little too sharp, the edge contrast (From USM???) is very prevailent alont the tail and some of the branches. Also, the owl looks like he concentraiting on something, as opposed to bored.

Why would this shot convey boredom? Don't get me wrong - technically this shot is superb, and if entered in a wildlife challenge, it would do well.
