Bethanyby printer4uComment by signal2noise: I just stumbled across this image while doing some recon for a guitar shot of my own. This is an excellent portrait, even without the guitar. I really like the model's pose and the lighting. There is an intense concentration in her eyes, without looking uncomfortable. The overall tone of the image is perfect and the subtle tones of her hair, skin, jewelry, makeup and top are very complimentary to one another. I also like how you left the texture in her skin and didn't smooth that out. The reflection on the top of the guitar so eloquently extends her chest, cleavage and blouse in a very seductive and eloquent way. Outstanding. A new favorite. |

Crooked Red Houseby printer4uComment by Jutilda: How picturesque. I should've known New Hampshire. Just charming. I'd love to visit New England in the autumn - such splendid colors. |

Family Portraitby printer4uComment by elru21: This is very nice. Nice job with outdoor lighting. The light is soft and directional and you have nice cathclights in the eyes. Very well done. My little critiques would be a) the tree growing out of the smallest girls head (a quick step to the left would have prevented this). b) the older girls arm bent backwards like that is awkward looking. The older your models/subjects get the more you have to pay attention to their posing. c) the older girls feet out in front are a little distorted and look awkwardly big. I would have had her curl her legs back to the side or pose her a little differently so her legs wound up behind the littlies. That would get her white shorts (a tiny bit blown) minimized and just leave the nice pinks and blue in there. These little nitpicks are minor in comparison to the overall nice job you did with color, sharpness and lighting. A very nice group portrait. |
