A Moment of Silenceby Cjorgy2oo4Comment by Kavey: One can certainly understand the silent contemplation - and the silence of absence of the deceased. The circles of the wreaths give added visual interest. It's minor but I do feel that the umbrella shouldn't be cropped by the edge of the frame. If it were completely included, it would feel more like she's 100% in this situation, in this little snapshot of time, instead that escaping umbrella is a link to what's outside the frame. I know that's weird but I think having the key subject wholly enclosed by the frame would benefit the strength of the message. |

A Moment of Silenceby Cjorgy2oo4Comment by rixport: the most origonal of the 'grave yard' shots in this challenge.. and ther were lots of them.. composition is good.. a little tighter depth of field would have added drama to the image with the background more out of focus.. nice effort.. |
