My Inner Lillyby LactobeezorComment by Judi: Greetings from the Critique Club.
Composition: My eye is constantly drawn to the right hand area of the image where the dark seedlike bits are. This area is out of focus so the composition really needs to be changed here.
Technical: The DOF is good to use for this type of subject...but make sure the part of the subject that stands out is also in focus as compared to the not so interesting areas.
Overall:I like the colour and what you were trying to do but I feel a little rearaanging of your priorities within an image would work better. Message edited by author 2007-05-25 23:13:07. |

My Inner Lillyby LactobeezorComment by lovethelight: To me this just isn't smooth, the noise inthe center of the flower combined with the hairs water and bumbs just brings in too much texture i think |

My Inner Lillyby LactobeezorComment by sudanmas: I like the subject matter. The deep orange shade of the flower plays nicely against the black seeds.
The image need a bit more sharpening though and I'm thinking another shot at reframing the image might help the pictures overall strength and impact. |

Glucose Highwayby LactobeezorComment by e301: Might be impressive as a really enormous print, especially if detail were retained - might have a suggestion of Andreas Gursky's work. |
