Nice slice-of-life photo, a real glimpse into a culture that is different from my own.

Tom, this is a fantastic shot. A rather impressive view of a beautiful chateau and the rower in the shot gives it a necessary life.

I like the colors, and composition. There are two simple things that would improve this photo a lot. First, I would rotate it CCW to straighten the walls. Viewed from any angle, vertical lines are always vertical. Of course wide angle lens will distort those lines, but in opposite directions. The second thing I would do would be to crop it a little to eliminate the other buildings.

Looking at your camera settings, I was wondering if you used a tripod to take this photo. 1/80th of a second is a little slow for hand held. Since you didn't need a lot of depth of field for this shot, I think I would have opened the aperture a couple of stops, and used 1/125th of a second for the shutter speed.

I have been to this palace and it is a treasure trove of photographic possibilities. it is very hard to take a photo out of a window and have both the inside and outside exposed properly. Nicely done. I also like the angle you have chosen to use. much more interesting than a straight on shot.

absolutely adorable storefront ... great colors and photo composition ... I think that a circular polarizer would have helped to reduce the window glare and reflections though, as they're a bit distracting ...
