Better than the original. I like the rocks under the water, but there needs to be something to get my attention and hold it. Maybe a fish or a turtle on a rock.

I'm guessing from the moire pattern in the image that you took a picture of a monitor. selecting a shutter speed that is an even multiple of the refresh rate helps avoid those issues. for tv signals standard ntsc is 60hz and pal is 50hz

Good composition and overall the subject has potential. The flat lighting is really hurting this. It subdues the textures and overexposes the handle. Changing the angle of the light or waiting for that angle to change if sun light would have helped your shot immensely, IMO.
