Loved the expression of pure exhuberance you captured on the boy's face. No faking that. And contrary to what espy says this sort of capture is not all that easy.

I wasn't crazy about the vertical crop and I felt the b&w tone could have been tweaked a bit. Still, I gave this a 7.

a kid on a swing. grinning, nonetheless. not really engaging and no storytelling. no action. focus is a little soft. what could you do to do better? look at the top 30 images in this challenge after it's over and see if there's something in them that you could try to emulate. if your score isn't where you would like it to be, you might want to read this thread.

Love it - the off center subject with a cool horse and nice textured sand really makes for a nice shot.... I did not even notice the boot at first - just the stirrup - great lighing effects... wonderful composition
