Toy Trainby 308Comment by BigK: I like the idea but I think the setup couldve had more to it i.e. some grass, branches etc. to really take me there. The church is a bit blown in terms of lightin on the one side which also detracts a little bit. It's still a nice idea though. |

"Dreamer" is an image that does definitely meet the challenge qualifications. This was another hard challenge with 364 entries. I really do think voters start to get burned out in a challenge so big. Unfortunately I think the burn out really does effect scores sometimes.
Your shot is very nice and square. I really like how full the frame is. It is really wish the lighting had been different. It really takes away from the focus. The eye looking more like a black hole is very distracting. The focus on the whiskers is excellent. It sometimes can be so hard to use natural to get the effect you want. Maybe even a slightly different angle would allow for a better shot, lighting wise. Overall the lighting hurt the score but you a great basis and I look forward to your next challenge. |

Taraby 308Comment by missinseattle: I love her expression, but it looks like it was shot from above and she's laying on the carpet? Very cute baby though! |

Taraby 308Comment by Jutilda: HEE HEE - there is something old fashioned about her. Like a baby from the 50's. Love the little teeth. (we call those little corn teeth cause they look like kernels of white corn- I'm strange) I'd love to see her in a more "formal" portrait setting, or possibly sitting up. That will come in time.
How old is she?? |

Taraby 308Comment by Art Roflmao: It's a great smile! Still an obvious snapshot-not-a-portrait type shot, which (take it from me) are very hard to get at that early age. Best to get the child propped up (or held up) with some distance from the background and try to get some DoF.
