Stand Aloneby medoComment by MacDonald: You choose the right tones for this shot... the background appears to have texture/gradient that makes your focal point stand out - good job - ... if you had chosen a rose that was a bit more open, would it have made this shot better? The water droplets are well rendered but I think had you put some on the leaves too, it would have been more dramatic |

Stand Aloneby medoComment by helloiloveyouu: I love the change to all the other rose pictures in this challenge. I also love the waterdrops on the rose. |

Blissby medoComment by getnoutside: One of the most common comments I make on this site is the need for a focal point or primary subject... something that the observer is naturally drawn to. IMHO, many landscape photos seem to lack this. You have a nicely colored sky and ocean contrasted against a texture shoreline, which is great. But, now you need something to draw the viewer in. Even a tiny sailboat anchored off in the distance between the Jetty and the mountains in the background would be enough (I use this for illustration purposes... I'm not suggesting you should have broken the rules and added something after the fact). Hope you find this useful. |

Blissby medoComment by kari1: Is an interesting shot, but lacks a true focus point. |

Blissby medoComment by Artyste: The curving shoreline gives the optical illusion that this photo is tilted.. crazy! Nice sky. |

Blissby medoComment by Konador: I like how much sky is in this photo. It gives a really nice sense of scale :) |
