The image is very interesting. But I am not a fan of the small aperture stars - at least for this composition. I would have prefered a more Hopper-like (as in the painter) passive image.

Lovely shot, could have used some straighening and that let it down. Looking again it is the hill that is deceptive here and made me think it was not straight.

I am not normally a fan of B&W. (If God intended we shoot in B&W, He wouldn't have invented Kodachrome!) But in this case, the B&W was a superb choice. The framing of the scene with branches overhead and the dark foreground is magnificent. There is an interesting juxtaposition of emotion going on here ... the dark framing elements are ominous, but the lighter distant subject is peaceful, pastoral even. Makes for an interesting photo I would return to often, and look at longer. Focus and DOF are terrific. Museum quality. Among my top picks.
