Shadow Boyfriendby jphotosComment by mkalandros: Its a shadow, not a silhouette. Beyond that, your shadow and your model are competing for attention. I would have preferred a better pose for her -- perhaps looking up at the camera? Also, I don't think the empty space around here is working for you here. The patchy lawn is very distracting. |

Shadow Boyfriendby jphotosComment by dwterry: You've probably been told this already but... a shadow is not the same thing as silhouette. Silhouettes become dark because they are light from behind. In other words, the light is in front of the camera, beyond the subject, lighting the subject from behind. And it is typically so bright that if you adjust your exposure for the lighting in the background, the subject goes black. |
