When I first look at this photo, all I notice is the overwhelming highlight in the foreground and I have to "push" my eyes past that to look at the rest of the image. I do like the angle you chose.

Composition is very well done but the black(pants?)and paint spots on the left are a big distraction from the shoe. I do like the lighting on the shoe.great use if natural light here as the shadows created the interest here and didnt make it "just another shoe photo" this is a nice image with the B&W tones but I think it would have had more impact and WOW factor if it had been left in color and allowed the paint to create the "wow" to this image. your focus is good but i think a round of sharpening in post processing would have helped.Excellent job and keep up the good work. have a great day :o)
