Interesting pattern, but not hugely appealing. I would have been tempted to crop off the extra white 'square' from the bottom to even up the lines.

Crop away the tree and the upper bit of sky to have an abstract diagonal shaft of light and dark. Keep the tree and have an interesting perspective of two non-abtract objects. Yes, a cylidrical shaft can have phallic connotations, but I suspect depending on the title so heavily will not be rewarded very well in an "abstract" challenge.
