This is a captivating image. I like the idea. I would have shot it from even more of an point of view from below looking up. The blown out whites distract me from the great line and power of the subject.

I like the grainy feel here - suitably moody, to add to the authoritative feel of the boat....I do feel that you shot a little too far into the sun on this one, the overexposure is a little distracting. 7.

i like the composition, but am struggling with the execution. you could definitely use a lens hood to cut down on the lens flare (which is a major distraction). i know this was a tough shot to take and to process, especially trying to capture the detail that you did, without allowing too much blow out. all the same, i'll score this a 6 and wish you good luck!

This one will probably get picked on for the blown out sky on the right; however, I think it adds to the drama of the photo. I think this is a unique veiw on the challenge and a well taken photo. I am not sure I would have chosen black and white for this, but I still think it is great. 9.

Took me a second to understand the title from the shot but finally saw the cross in the center, duh! This is a very interesting shot, the textures, the black and white, the contrast, all very well done. Not sure about really meeting the challenge aspect but still a great shot. An 8

Dont understand the title (sorry for me simplicity). The subject is fine though I dont know if it fits the challenge (maybe conected to the title). The pic dont take my breath away but I´m not sure about what it lacks. Maybe it would have been better in color, ecspecilly if there are some rust in the metalthings (which seems to be).
