Could be considered a shoehorn by some, but the title clearly explains your interpretation of this theme. I'm afraid don't care for this one however. The lighting seems harsh and the look on her face is not appealing. The hidden mouth dopes not help either. Sorry to be so hard on a shot that is probably of your kid.

Something about the lighting bothers me. Using a flash? maybe. It seems kinda flat. More directional lighting would help add some drama, and perhaps more interest to the shot.

A very interesting abstract image. Looks like it was taken through mottled, plastic shower door "glass". The color and lighting are generally appealing. There will be voters that don't "get it" and vote low.

Technically the flaw that holds this images back is the many overexposed areas on the palm of the hands. Darken those up with some gingerly burning would help, but you will have to be very careful not to overdo it.

The distortion from the water makes the image feel muddied, IMO. Would have like to see greater contrast in light and dark.
