It's a good idea, even though it might be a little cliche, but I think that when all you have in a photo is one light source, you should use it as effectively as possible. This just looks like someone holding a lamp to me.

I'm not fond of pure black backgrounds, but it works well here. Since the focus is the light, which looks almost mystical, it's okay that the face is out of focus as well.

Thinking out of the box is hier op DPC geen goed idee, tenminste, niet als je wilt scoren.
Ik schrijf hier in het NL wat ik heb geleerd.
Mocht je willen scoren moet je er voor zorgen dat onze vrienden aan de overkant van de oceaan de foto begrijpen.
Ik wil niet zeggen dat ze daar niet zo slim zijn, maar het moet ze wel direct pakken.
Je moet dus zorgen dat het "te duidelijk" is wat je met de foto wilt zeggen.

Voldoe 100% aan de challenge, dat kan ontzettend saai zijn, maar denk vooral "inside the box" en probeer daar creatief te zijn.
Als ze zeggen, vrienden, dan geen boxhandschoen, geen teddybeer, geen fotocamera.

Verder zorg ervoor dat je foto behoorlijk "over gesatureerd" is. Sommigen zullen je ervoor haten, maar de meeste vinden veel kleur mooi.

Hoop dat je er wat aan hebt.
