Hills and Treesby vestanpanceComment by Artyste: This is actually quite a nice little macro shot that takes a few viewings in order to really appreciate I think. It would have been a much better shot from the other side, giving you the leafy branch the focus, as the bare branch doesn't have the same kind of life to it. |

Slow Down For Wildfowlby vestanpanceComment by PTLParsons: What do you do for "tame fowl", run them down. Beautiful photo. Love the composition, the colors, the clouds especially. Even though the trees show it's fall the grass is still so beautiful and green. Really good shot. Worth a 9 |

Horses, trees, grass, skyby vestanpanceComment by Konador: Nice photo. I think tho it would look better with the horses coming into the frame, instead of leaving it, and maybe even better if they aeren't so close to the edge of the photo. |

Horses, trees, grass, skyby vestanpanceComment by Bullwinkle: I like the feeling of wide open expanse by including lots of blue sky. A long time ago I was told that an odd number of visual elements seems to balance better than an even number. Thus three or one tree(s) might work better than two. The horses and riders do fit in with your theme. Although circumstances may have been out of your control I would personally rather have the folks riding into the picture towards the trees thus bringing the viewers attention back inside the frame. Just a suggestion. The foliage of the larger trees is very photogenic. Those alone say in a silhouette with a horse on a puffy cloudy day would be a magical moment. You have got the right elements here in the game. A few minor changes in composition, lighting (i.e. dramatic sidelighting or backlighting during sunset/sunrise ) would alter the image presentation ...should you wish to do so. Otherwise a reasonable photo with redeeming qualities. Good luck. |

Horses, trees, grass, skyby vestanpanceComment by jimmythefish: Great shot...nice scene. I think that this might have been better, compositionally, if the horses were in a different spot. They seem to be stuck on the edge of the frame. It looks unbalanced with them in it. I might have also cropped some of the grass...there's a whole lot of the same there. |
