Impressive job of capturing the glass with all it's reflective surfaces without any seriously blown out spots. You appear to have a window reflection in the main part of the glass though and this is a kind of distracting. I don't know why but this doesn't want to pop for me though. I think it may have too many conflicting lines and textures...

AMAZING! I love how you can see only half of the glass. The glass beads/stones are a nice touch. I also like the spotlight by the Maker's Mark bottle. Very clean and extremely detailed. But that last bit is also your downfall. There's too much detail in the glass as I can see some background reflected in it. If that was not there, I'd rate this a 10. I wish there were half points cause then I'd give you 9.5 but I cannot so you get a 9. Great job!

FIRST IMPRESSION: I like the effect, but lacks a focal point.

CHALLENGE: There is not alot to indicate that this image is shot through glass, or even on glass. Whilst it does fall within the challenge guidelines it is not easy to ascertain that it is glass.

COMPOSITION: I think this image lacks a focal point. The pattern created by the rain drops is interesting but it lacks that real wow factor, that certain something that holds your attention or makes you take a second and third look.

TECHNICAL: Technically it seems reasonably well focused and executed.

CONCLUSION: Whilst some thought has gone into this image, I think you need to take a little longer to consider what it is about the image that others will find appealing. What is it in this image that I am trying to get across to the viewer and why should they take a second or third look at my image. A reasonable idea which has been shot with a fair level of expertise, but does not have enough impact to hold one's attention.

Keep shooting.

FIRST IMPRESSION: Fun subject, nice progression.

CHALLENGE: Meets the challenge.

COMPOSITION: All three shots are composed well overall, but the background does not appear to be very well thought out. The chair and table in the background are distracting in my opinion. These strike me individually as grab shots rather than planned photographs, but as a group they work well together for the theme.

TECHNICAL: Exposure is good, though the lighting is a bit stong in front and fades in a manner suggesting use of a flash as your primary light source (though the shot fortunately lacks the hard shadows typically seen in flash photography).

CONCLUSION: A good, promising subject that could be strengthened with additional attention to lighting. I wonder if the progression might flow more naturally if the last shot were placed first, though upon reading your comments I understand why you laid it out the way you did. These are among the better of the child shots I've seen submitted to challenges; your contribution actually belongs in the challenge, where many others' "kid shots" strike me as someone using the challenge as an excuse to show off their kids.

Thanks for sharing and good luck in future challenges!
