this could have been a bit better
brighten the image - whites are grey, blue is a muddy navy blue
the lighthouse is listing to the right (which is only ok if it's lying down ;)

I am no photo expert so my comments are based on how I feel about you picture, I hope they are usefull.

For me the darkness (exposure) and trees gathering at the bottom of this image detract from the focal point of the image, the lighthouse.

This is similiar in alot of ways to pictures I seem to take. Lots on nice color and textures yet have very little interest to the viewer (I'm the same). I think to pull the composition together a bit try cropping of the right the big tree and just a bit off the left. Just a thought. Still lovely lines in the sky and wonderful colors. I am big fan of silhouttes at the moment.

Cute dog, but not such a great photo. I suggest taking pet shots in soft bright lighting such as at sunrise or near sunset. Try it, I bet you'll like it. : )

Wider depth of field and more natural lighting may have made it more flattering.
