Old fort from 1897by angiedlComment by srbrubaker: I like the textures and the repeating pattern of the doors. When it comes to photos that live or die on the quality of their textures - as I believe this one does - I tend to like things a little over-sharpened. It's a matter of taste, but too often an interesting texture will look a little too blurry when presented on screen with the same amount of texture as the real life subject |

Old fort from 1897by angiedlComment by jrtodd: Nice color and textures, might have been better if you could see the floor at the bottom of the first door way. Nice 7 |

Old fort from 1897by angiedlComment by notonline: In my opinion this appears to me more like a ruin then an abandoned building. The photo itself looks a little OoF but that could be due to the contrast. I think it may have also looked better if the shot was from straight on(centered) and didn't lean to the right at the top of the photo. Good luck with this challenge. |

Old fort from 1897by angiedlComment by e301: You should get points at least for not providing a simple portrait of the building. It's reasonably easy to see your intent here, I believe - good deep depth of field and that succession of doorways; but I feel that the light and shade through those doorways doesn't help to distinguish each from the other - and no doubt the basic rules aren't helping you here either. |
