Just from her eye and her hair, you can tell right off the bat that you have a beautiful model to work with...but in my opinion you didn't take full advantage of that. The background is distracting and there are a lot of annoying hot spots. The light on her is nice, but the background doesn't fit the photo.

If I were you I'd get this girl back for some more photos in a nice, flattering environment and see what you can do.

Arg. I wish a little more of her face was visible. Nice idea. Also if you had gone with a larger aperature you could have faded out some of that slightly distractive background.

nice portrait. love the expression. i hope you're getting some good comments and suggestions, and not getting lost in the shuffle of this huge challenge. i might suggest that you blur out the background a bit more, as it is busy enough to distract from your otherwise interesting subject. good luck in this and the coming challenges!

interesting idea, though to be honest Im not completly sold on having that much of her face covered in hair. Additionally the background is a little too blown out. I'd try a closer crop around the head to minimise the effect of that.
