Children's Windowby rll07Comment by redmoon: Interesting concept this. If I were in your position I might be tempted to try the same shot without the kid and crop out the cave - the trees, landscaping and sky in the background looks really cool. At the least I'd reduce the amount of cave visible at the top of the shot as it appears a bit wonky. I like the picture, it just feels that there's too many details in it. 6. |

Children's Windowby rll07Comment by jpochard: Okay...you're going to have to tell how this was done. This is exactly the effect I was going for but couldn't get. This is a really cool "other dimension" shot. |

Children's Windowby rll07Comment by jmsetzler: Nice zoom burst :) This photo could possibly be strengthened by having the subject closer to center to create some extra definition. The issue I have with this image is that it feels more like a software generated burst than one in cam. I re-read the challenge description and it looks like it changed again... It no longer says anything about creating the effect in cam.... = 5 |

Dogsby rll07Comment by ccraft: Wow! This is an awesome shot. This is top quality and pitch perfect. I'm going to give you a high mark; however, you may find others will mark you down for having a horizontally cropped image instead of a vertically cropped image. IT seemed to be an issue in the last magazine challenge. |

A 1 is a bit harsh isn't it? I can understand you maybe thinking this doesn't meeting the challenge, that is a matter of opinion. But why a 1? You said yourself this is a wonderful and beautiful pic, where are the points for that? Message edited by author 2003-11-13 07:05:26. |

Changing Seasonsby rll07Comment by kiwiness: Amazing photo, makes me feel cold just looking at it! Nothing wrong with this one, maybe the leaf could have been a little lighter, but that doesn't bother me at all. This one will be way up there. |

Changing Seasonsby rll07Comment by goinskiing: I absolutely love the detail on the frost and the leaf. What I enjoy most here is the contrast (extreme contrast) between the leaf and the frost. I love the lighting! One thing I would suggest though, is just cropping off a little bit of the bottom, there seems to be a tad bit too much and it doesn't really serve the picture justice, because it is an absolutely beautiful picture. Good luck! |
