Shocking Storm Hits Bellevueby ledridgeComment by Glacierwolf: I like this shot allot. Your 490x488 supbission aspect was a wise choice to reduced the noise that is still visable. The best way to reduce noise is when taking the photo - and this one probably would have still worked fine at 1/2 to 1/4 the ISO selected..... just keep cycling the shutter. If you havent already, the PS noise reduction filter and unsharp mask could reduce the nose more. Another program called Neat Image (www.neatimage.com ) comes highly recommended too. I like how the trees ghosted from the long shutter opening. The lens flare deffinitly adds to the spooky-ness of the picture. Very nice captrue. |

Shocking Storm Hits Bellevueby ledridgeComment by postoakinversion: looks just a little overexposed. the dark outlines around the edge of the lightning looks unnatural. i'm not sure what it is though. for lightning that close, a good setting to use is 100 ISO and f/8. i don't like the wires/power lines going across the image, but I do like the way the lightning is nicely framed by the trees |
