i had this idea too, but specifically to recreate drachoos ribbon winner flower photo with the lens cap. cute idea, nice DOF. the flower looks less than fresh though

People at dpc like to say that centered images are not as good as images that are using the rule of thirds - this is arguable in theory and on this photo ... I'm not really sure - but i think this might be both - if cropped just a smidge tighter - the lighting is great and the bird and tailfeathers are interesting and detailed -- I've found these birds to be quite cooperative in photos :) 7
