Comment by nymsa:
nice work. i like theway you set this up. i'm not sure about the light coming through the crack in the door; i'm torn as to whether it adds or distracts.

Like the color. Hate the light switch. Like the light from the door. Hate the door knob. 1/2 of the door isn't consistant and would have looked better cropped off.

Comment by Glen King:
If you really want this to image to grab the eye, level the lines of the blinds and crop in close on the left side. The crack of light in the door should be exactly perpendicular to the lower edge of the image. Nice concept.

a flat surface might not have been so distracting.

heh.. hedging your bets right? a featureless background would've been a lot better and more effective.. 6

I found 2 things very distracting: the bright yellow line coming from behind the door (as well as the door itself) and the light switch. Good Idea though.

I find the door knob and light switch distracting, if you must include them can't you use them in the composition?

To open it or not to open it, huh. Taking photos of your tv is not allowed! Just kidding, I'll assume you didn't. I really the idea, pose, and lighitng, but it suffers from being too out of focus and a bit too small. Effective nonetheless. 6

the off center composition is a good choice however i think there is a bit too much negative space for the lighted are that lacks clarity, detail and focus

nice pic, but (for me) does not fit the challenge well - it doesn't say 'conflict' without an explanation. Show the pic to strangers, and say nothing. Ask "What is the first thing that comes to mind?" or even 'What is the conflict in this image?' and let me know if anyone gets it.
