Not sure how much effort or thought was put into this pic, but the results are really static. Could use greater directional light (looks really flat with no contrast or highlights) and less distracting elements in pic. Keep pluggin' away!

Oh - there is some feel of surfaces here, hough almost despite the shot rather thanbecause of the way you've done it. It's a very dull exposure - quite accurate to life in a way, I would suggest, which doesn't necessarily make for a good shot. Bland compositionally - there's just no sense of the dramatic to it, though in its sense of the absolutely mundane it has some appeal.

It's a nice capture in three kinds of texture - the hat, the carpet, and the wood grain (which is more pattern than texture). Would prefer more brightness and contrast in this photo.
